The Black Box Studio is a flexible, fully-equipped creative space in the heart of Ljubljana — available by the hour, by the day, or by the week.
Originally built for intimate theater performances, it has grown into a working home for independent performers, choreographers, musicians and visiting artists. Whether you need a controlled environment for a shoot, a rehearsal space with full technical equipment, or a base for developing new work over an extended period, the Black Box adapts to your process.
Production Residencies
Weekly and monthly rates on request
The Black Box Studio offers dedicated working periods for independent performing artists and companies developing new work. Whether you need a week of intensive rehearsals or a longer pre-production residency, the space is available with full technical equipment and flexible scheduling.
Located in the heart of Ljubljana, the studio is an ideal base for visiting artists looking for a controlled, fully-equipped environment away from institutional constraints.

Theater or dance performances
280€/4 hours with technical assistance
The main room is equipped with chairs (up to 32) and a movable stage (3.60 x 2 mts), full grid with stage and audience lighting, a light board and an easy-to-use music mixer and speakers.

Video and Photo Shootings
65€/hour - 35€ after the second hour *up to 300€ per shooting day (without technician)
Easy to access venue in the center of Ljubljana with black box setting with electrical outlets everywhere and a full grid in the ceiling placed at 3.5 meters from a wooden floor to hang lights, drapes and equipment.
Workshops and rehearsals
24€/h* (minimum 2 hrs)
special price for periodicals / *30€ with theatrical lights
Full room with dance floor protection, a full wall mirror (could be covered), working lights and basic sound system connected with mini jack or Bluetooth.
